During the Geminid meteor shower, sweep your phone along each meteor you see. Everyone's sweeps point back to where the meteors come from. Only the sky direction is sent, never where you are.
On the solstice, aim the top edge of your phone at the sun until its shadow shrinks to a dot. Together we work out where the sun is overhead and how big the Earth is. Only a rough map square is sent, and a square shows only once 3 players are in it.
